Sarah Goddard - Divisional Director
With 19 years professional staffing experience, the last 10 spent leading and developing the Clinical Professionals Group brands across life sciences in the UK, EU and internationally, Sarah has demonstrable market knowledge, networks and delivery capability which she’s built through partnership and shared success. She is proud to have spear-headed our innovative and award-winning Academy training programmes, apprenticeship trailblazers and TalentRx solutions with exciting clients of all backgrounds, as well as starting up a successful Medical Communications business unit. She is passionate about empowering her teams to be the best they can be; achieving their goals and objectives, living and breathing our company vision and values which mean so much to her, and she genuinely believes will help us make a difference in industry.
Robert Edwards - Director of Outsourced Solutions & Training
I have a Biochemistry and Physiology degree and a Masters in Clinical Chemistry. I started out working as a Clinical Biochemist in the NHS, but I transitioned into Clinical Research in1993 and have spent most of the time since in Clinical Operations.
I started my career in the industry as a CRA and then moved into Project Management and on into variousClinical Operations Management roles in a variety of companies, both CROs and Pharma organisations.
A lot of my roles have involved a training element or helping people to develop and learn new skills, and I have also had a couple of specific training roles during my career thus far. I am joining cpl from Boehringer Ingelheim, where I have worked since 2015, as Global Clinical Operations Learning Manager.
Linda Hopkinson - Clinical Training Academy Lead.
Linda has over 25 years of Clinical Research experience. Having started out as a Registered General Nurse and working in a variety of nursing roles she became a Respiratory Nurse Specialist and it was in this role that her love for Clinical Research began. After working as a Research Nurse for around 8 years she made the move to become a Clinical Research Associate.
Since that time she has worked her way up in the research world in roles such as CRA, Senior CRA, and Project Manager. Linda has always had a love for training and its importance within Clinical Research being key to gaining good quality data and protecting patient safety and training often became a part of each of her roles. Linda became a full-time trainer for a CRO and worked for several years as a trainer on their Clinical Foundation Program (CFP) which led her to travel the world delivering classes and eventually become an avatar in their Virtual CFP program.
Linda set up her own business and became a freelance Clinical Professional in 2014 and since that time has undertaken a variety of roles within Training Consultancy, Risk Based Management, Training design and delivery as well as keeping her clinical skills up to date with some PM and monitoring work. During that time, she has set up her own online Training company which delivers innovative and engaging training in Research and Education.
Linda joined Clinical Professionals as a freelance trainer in June 2019 and is now the Graduate Academy Lead and main training provider for our Clinical Training Graduate Academy.
Stephen Wincott - Managing Consultant
Stephen has a strong sales background with sixteen years of specialist recruitment experience ranging from Finance & Accountancy to Data Analytics working mainly for smaller, owner managed Consultancies.
Stephen wanted a fresh challenge and joined the Clinical Professionals team in June 2017 as a Senior Consultant to carry on the good work of developing the Client relationships for the Graduate Academy, ensuring we have a pipeline of interesting opportunities to discuss once the Graduates have completed their training.
Recently promoted to Managing Consultant, he is driven by the desire to give back to the industry through these first to industry roles and takes great pleasure in challenging hiring managers that they don’t need to search for Candidates with a years’ experience, they need one of our Trained Graduates!
